ABOUT

Tall, surprisingly easy-going, and has a penchant for fine clothes. Between this and her job as a diplomatic liaison, one might be surprised to learn just how much she enjoys fighting in all its myriad forms. To a lesser degree she's also just always interested in learning something new, which makes her if nothing else a fantastic listener.

BACKGROUND

Like many Rava she grew up under the shade of the Golmore Jungle, but unlike many she found the familiarity and comfort of the jungle grow increasingly stale over her first few decades of life. It didn't take long (for a Viera) for her to grow restless and, eventually, she exiled herself from her home in favor of seeing the world.

She travelled first to Thavnair and, amazed at the sheer numbers of people from so many places, decided to travel across the world. Dalmasca, Doma, Azim Steppes, Hingashi—the Ruby Sea, and then across the Sea of Jade to Ala Mhigo.

By the time she landed in Eorzea, it was a land rife with the bickering of the city states, and Ala Mhigo consumed in civil war against the Mad King. Through fortune, skill, and the help of her found family in the form of a Keepers tribe, she survived the shocking violence of the war and made her way west into Gridania. But despite the safety she didn't feel much better.

Across the land the city-states marginalized not only their fellow man, but the so-called Beast Tribes who had been relegated to a subhuman status under Ul'dah's policies. For the first time her wanderlust abated and she found herself with a purpose and founded Gentiana's Guard in an attempt to facilitate cooperation between the city-states and beast tribes.

Unfortunately, the war with Garlemald and subsequent proliferation of primal summoning amongst the tribes stonewalled her ambitions for years, with progress only found thanks to the Echo allowing her to speak with delegations without fear of tempering.

With the changing of eras though, she finds herself restless once more. Post Endwalker her Free Company is well equipped to handle things without her, and her desire to explore has pushed her out of the office and back into the field. Leaving things to her second, she now wanders the world axe in hand.

○ Has a Near Eastern (Thanvairian) accent due to the years she spent there.

○ Strong aether, similar to either a warrior or monk's.

○ Has the Echo, though only strong enough to resist tempering (this has unfortunately been put to the test) and let her understand and speak most languages.

○ Her nose paint marks are adopted from a Keepers of the Moon tribe that became a second family for her, and symbolically represents their ties.

HOOKS

○ Despite being head of her FC, likes to get hands-on with work, and concerningly will disappear on "adventure" for for months at a time. Perhaps you want to hire her for tomb spelunking?

○ Her FC, Gentiana's Guard, often works with the Grand Companies and civilians to communicate with the tribes. Perhaps you've heard of them? Maybe you're looking for someone to talk with the Ixal on your behalf, and don't want to wander into their neck of the woods blind?

○ She believes strongly in second chances, and as such decent chunk of her crew are former pirates or bounty hunters looking for more reputable work. Perhaps someone you've met works for her and you have opinions about that?

○ Eclectic tastes—she has at various times picked up archery, thaumaturgy, sewing, you name it, she's probably tried it at some point. That said she always drifts back to the axe. Perhaps you've met her in one of her moments of hyperfixation on some new skill?
